Dr. Palina Prysmakova, Associate Professor of School of Public Administration, was awarded a medal issued by the Belarusian Liberation Army (BLA) by the representative of defense and national security of the United Transitional Cabinet, former deputy commander of the Kalinousky regiment, Vadzim Kabanchuk.

Just before the start of Fall'24, Dr. The BLA consists of the Belarusians, who volunteer to fight on the Ukrainian behalf, despite the strong pro-Russian attitude of the current Belarusian government, who established its power by force in 2020. The solders both risk their lives and an opportunity to ever go back home, whereas such activities are strictly prosecuted.

The medal "For Assistance" is awarded to civilians who support the army in various ways. Dr. Prysmakova has been actively participating in various motivational activities and ceremonies performed by the army headquarters. She is a well-known researcher of public service motivation in the region and a volunteer member of the Council of Belarusian Democratic Republic in-exile, which is a historic governmental institution that has been promoting democratic and Belarusian values since 1918.

A curious fact is that the medal is made from the metal of the defeated Russian tank.
