Michael Steele, Former Chair of the Republican National Committee, to Discuss National Popular Vote at FAU
Friday, Oct 22, 2021Michael Steele, former chairman of the Republican National Committee and former lieutenant governor of Maryland, will be at Florida Atlantic University on Tuesday, Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. to discuss the national popular vote.
The lecture will be moderated by WPTV NewsChannel 5 anchor Michael Williams at the Lifelong Learning Auditorium, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus.
Tickets are $35 and can be purchased at fauevents.com or by calling 561-297-6124. FAU faculty, staff and student tickets are free and Osher Lifelong Learning members can purchase tickets at a discounted rate at olliboca.fau.edu.
“I am an American, a conservative and a Republican, in that order,” said Steele, a current faculty fellow at Brown University’s Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs and an MSNBC political analyst.
The event is sponsored by Floridians for National Popular Vote and their coalition partner, the League of Women Voters of Palm Beach County, along with FAU’s Department of Political Science within the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters.
