Marlena Niewczas was born and raised in Poland where she studied Elementary Education at Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz, Poland. Niewczas holds a college degree in Agribusiness Administration and Accounting earned in 1998 from Zespol Szkol Agrobiznesu in Rogozno, Poland. In 2004 she earned AA degree from PBCC, and in 2007 she graduated summa cum laude with Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from FAU. In May 2010, she received Master of Arts in Music degree from FAU after defending her thesis on the Moniuszko’s opera compositions, under the tutelage of Dr. Kenneth Keaton. She has served as an adjunct professor at FAU since 2010, teaching several music history courses, including History and Appreciation of Music, Rock and Roll in American Society and Jazz in American Society. She also worked at TOPs Piano Camp for 10 years. An active teacher, Niewczas maintains a large studio of private piano students in Boca Raton.
