Doctoral Student at Clark University, Adjunct Professor at Nova Southeastern University and Miami Dade College
FIRST JOB:
Working at McDonalds and as a helper on housing construction sites at the age of 14 on Long Island, NY.
BIGGEST CHALLENGES:
Choosing my career path. After taking my first history classes at FAU as an undergraduate I was instantly hooked.
BEST FAU MEMORY:
There are numerous great memories with fellow classmates and the faculty, and of course getting to know Zella Linn. Her professionalism and hospitality made the experience at FAU all the more memorable. Undoubtedly, the one memory that stands out was the feelings of nervousness and excitement while personally escorting Helen Thomas to the university for a symposium; it was a great experience being able to meet such a phenomenal and inspirational individual.
ROLE DEPT. OF HISTORY PLAYED IN YOUR CAREER:
The department had an immense impact in shaping me as a historian, an academic, and an intellectual. I owe the department’s faculty immensely for cultivating my career and providing the necessary foundations for future success in the field.
GOAL:
My goal is to finish my dissertation and continue to contribute to the field of history. Favorite Book: I have many favorite books, but two works that standout are Orientalism by Edward Said and Power and Knowledge by Michel Foucault.
PERSONAL:
Eecently relocated back to Florida, residing in Hallandale Beach.
