The Social Sciences

Graduate students in the social sciences study a diverse array of topics, from the dynamics of contemporary social and political systems to the study of our prehistoric roots and biological heritage. These M.A. programs investigate the human experience as grounded in cooperation and conflict within and between groups, cultures, classes and nations. Graduates from our M.A. programs go on to doctoral programs, to law and other professional schools, and to careers in a wide range of fields that build on the skills they have acquired.
