John Henry is an internationally renowned sculptor, best known for his large-scale public artworks across the United States, Europe, and Asia. Henry attended the University of Kentucky, University of Chicago and the Art Institute of Chicago, where he received a Ford Foundation grant, the Edward L Ryerson Fellowship and earned a BFA. Henry has shown his work extensively since the early 1960’s and exhibits a definitive trademark. Typically identified with 1970s Minimalism, his formal roots lie in Russian Constructivism’s merging of industrial processes and geometric abstraction.
