From a young age Harry McDaniel was interested in mechanics and continued these innovations through college, but it wasn’t until his mid-20’s that he began to see himself as an artist. His first significant acknowledgment was in 1988 when he was commissioned to create a suspended sculpture for the Agricultural History Park in Derwood, Marylandnow. This project ultimately led to his interest and success in creating public artworks. McDaniel now has numerous public commissions, outdoor sculpture exhibitions, and awards for his work.
