From June 26 through June 28, in collaboration with the University Galleries, printmaking students in the Department of Visual Arts & Art History at Florida Atlantic Univeristy worked closely with resident artist John Hancock, one of the Amazing Hancock Bros. The dynamic duo comprises of John and Charles Hancock, who are masters in woodcuts, silkscreen, and mixed-media printing. During the residency, students had the opportunity to learn techniques while also exploring narratives for expression. In Babylon Superman, Hancock is providing his audience with “nocturnal transmissions via kosmik vibrations, dead poets, scotch, and chili dawgs.”
