Prof. Stacey Balkan was interviewed by Prof. Firat Oruc for Georgetown Qatar's Center for International and Regional Studies and the Energy Humanities initiative. This podcast—"World Energy Literature: Narratives of Extraction and Itinerant Lives"—is Prof. Balkan's first official book talk and she was thrilled to participate in the series.
The podcast is in two parts. The first focuses on her monograph—Rogues in the Postcolony: Narrating Extraction and Itinerancy in India—and the second focuses on the edited collection— Oil Fictions: World Literature and Our Contemporary Petrosphere —Prof. Balkan curated and published with Dr. Swaralipi Nandi.
