Outstanding English Senior Awards 2022-2023

In the Spring of each academic year, the English Department faculty nominate senior-level English majors for "Outstanding English Senior." Students eligible for the 2022-2023 Outstanding English Senior award include those who graduated in Summer or Fall of 2022, and pending graduates for Spring 2023.

This year, faculty recognized outstanding students who embodied excellence in a number of ways, including those who

  • wrote exceptional academic papers and/or creative works
  • submitted coursework above and beyond what was expected and/or approached coursework in creative ways
  • participated thoughtfully, asked astute questions, and engaged in meaningful, productive ways
  • demonstrated a positive attitude, supported their peers, and made classes a joy to teach
