Dr. Kate Polak has Six New Poems Out in Pink Disco, redrosethorns, and Meow Meow Pow Pow

Congratulations to Dr. Kate Polak on publication of six new poems!

“Echo Location” appears in boats against the current, "Blaze of Glory" is in redrosethorns, and “Beginning Again” is in Meow Meow Pow Pow.

"Placing the Moon", "What I've Done for Love", and "Rumination on Fustigation"—in Pink Disco—are from Polak's poetry collection on the lives of historical sex workers.

An excerpt from "What I’ve Done for Love":

Sometimes, the only answer for a death is a death.
I wouldn’t be who I am without my parents, loving
that I was the easy child until I wasn’t. Summer day,
fourteen years old, and what I could have been was

taken away. I didn’t say yes, and no one cared, not
even my mother. [ . . . ]
