Tristan Sheridan, Howard Pearce Award for Best MA Thesis |
Congratulations to Tristan Sheridan, winner of the Howard Pearce Award for Best MA Thesis for 2022-2023. Sheridan's thesis was praised for making an “original and articulate scholarly intervention in multiple fields” in its application of transgender studies to artificial intelligence narratives. Material adapted from Sheridan's thesis is part of a chapter in the forthcoming Routledge Handbook of Trans Literature (co-authored with Professor Timothy Miller). Sheridan earned their B.A. English (with Honors in the Major) at FAU in Spring 2021, their M.A. in Literature at FAU in Spring 2023, and they will attend the Ph.D. program in English Language and Literature at the University of Washington this fall.
