Congratulations to our own Dr. Kate Polak, Instructor of English and Associate Director of UCEW, whose poem, "The Love Poem I Didn't Know to Write as a Teenager," was published in the September 2022 Issue of Hare's Paw Literary Journal.

Will you feed the racoons for me when I die?

I will feed them for you, as you well know,

my abstraction can never be reminded

to draw the bungee cord across the trash [ . . . ]
