On Monday, March 28th, Professor Manoucheka Celeste (University of Florida) will deliver a lecture in celebration of bell hooks. Professor Celeste's talk is titled "It’s All Love: bell hooks and the Formation of Black Diasporic Feminist Media Studies."

Please join us in Performing Arts (PA) 101—refreshments will be served at 10:30am, the lecture will begin at 10:45am and the first 15 attendees will receive a bell hooks book.

About Professor Celeste:

Manoucheka Celeste is an Associate Professor at the University of Florida in the Center for Gender, Sexualities, and Women’s Studies Research, and in the African American Studies Program.  Her recent work focuses on citizenship narratives surrounding Blackness, Black womanhood, and transnational mobility. Her book, Race, Gender, and Citizenship in the African Diaspora: Travelling Blackness, received both the National Communication Association’s Diamond Anniversary Book Award and the NCA Outstanding Book Award from the African American Communication & Culture Division and Black Caucus.
