Assistant Professor Willa Granger Receives a Tyson Scholar of American Art Fellowship
Sunday, Jun 18, 2023Assistant Professor Willa Granger has been selected as a Tyson Scholar of American Art at the Crystal Bridges Museum in Bentonville, Arkansas. The Tyson Scholars program encourages and supports full-time, interdisciplinary scholarship that seeks to nurture professional development, mentorship, and the exchange of ideas related to a variety of historical periods, fields, and methodologies. With the Tyson Scholars program, Crystal Bridges joins other national institutions in supporting research that contributes to American art history. Willa’s fellowship will entail research and residency alongside a cohort of other scholars at the Crystal Bridges Museum in the Spring 2024 semester. She will work on her upcoming book project, Constructing Old Age: Race, Ethnicity, Religion and the Architecture of Homes for the Aged.
