When using generative AI tools, it is important to avoid entering sensitive information to protect privacy and ensure data security. These tools may not guarantee the confidentiality of the information shared. There are important considerations to keep in mind when using these tools, including information security and data privacy, compliance, copyright, and academic integrity.
- You should never enter any Level 1 Highly Sensitive Information into Generative AI Tool.
- Level 2 Sensitive Information and Level 3 Security-Related Information should only be entered in AI Tools assessed and approved by Office of Information Technology's (OIT) Information Security department.
