Be Owl n’ About in the Community!

Kick off Homecoming Week by showing your FAU pride in the community! Join Students Advocating Volunteer Involvement (SAVI) and the Weppner Center for Civic Engagement and Service (WCCES) in observing the 2nd Annual FAU Day of Service on Saturday, Oct. 26. .
 
Students, faculty, staff and alumni can volunteer at any one of the five service project sites that day.
 
Transportation and lunch will be provided.
 
Five community sites. Choose one to serve.
 

Palm Beach County Food Bank
Decorate for a Volunteer Appreciation Dinner for the food bank, 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Homeless Coalition of Palm Beach County
Sort food and clothing donations and/or do a landscaping project, 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
(This service project is now full.) 
 
 
Quantum House
Be a chef for a day and cook a meal for children and their families, 9:45 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Equine Assisted Therapies (formerly Horses and the Handicapped)
Clean up a farm used for children’s therapy and interact with horses, 10:15 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.

YMCA of South Palm Beach County
Set up a Halloween event for children, 11:15 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.
