 Wells Fargo Presenting Sponsor

FAU's Department of Music is proud to announce that Wells Fargo is sponsoring the Music Department’s 2014/15 concert season with its matching gift program. Wells Fargo will match dollar-for-dollar the suggested donations or concert ticket proceeds used towards music student scholarships. During our 2011/13 seasons, Wells Fargo's matching gift totaled $50,000—matched with concert contributions, this provided a total of over $100,000 in scholarship support to our music students! We are so grateful to Wells Fargo for continuing this incredible community partnership with the Department of Music and Florida Atlantic University for our current concert season!

Florida Atlantic University is proud to announce
the Georgina Dieter Dennis Vocal Scholarship Award

Georgina Dieter Dennis Scholarship Recipients

Georgina Dieter Dennis was an award-winning opera singer whose career spanned several decades. She performed with the National Opera Association, Canada’s Civic Music Light Opera Company, with the USO during World War II, and was nationally broadcasted in a number of radio shows until she moved to Florida in the 1960’s. She established her foundation in order to provide financial assistance to singers who wished to advance in their music studies, and the Georgina Dieter Dennis Foundation selected Florida Atlantic University’s vocal program as a partner in this mission. The Department of Music is honored and grateful for this generous gift, which has resulted in $150,000 in scholarship support for our vocal students.

“Music for Healing,” made possible by a grant from Drs. Andrew and Bradford Ress of the Ress Institute
