FAU Presents the Fifth Annual Repertory Dance Theatre Ensemble

BOCA RATON, Fla. (January 10, 2013) – Florida Atlantic University’s department of theatre and dance in the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters presents the 2013 Repertory Dance Theatre Ensemble on Friday, Feb. 1 at 7 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 2 at 1 and 7 p.m., and Sunday, Feb. 3 at 1 p.m. Performances will take place in the University Theatre, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus. Single tickets are $20, FAU faculty, staff and alumni are $16, FAU students are $12 and group prices are available. Tickets can be purchased at www.fauevents.com or 1-800-564-9539.

The University’s professional dance company is comprised of four permanent dancers – Clarence Brooks, Susan Fulks, Stacee Lanz, and Monica Orozco – who, along with guest dancers Chetachi Egwu and members of REACH: A Dance Theater Collective, will perform works by established and emerging Florida-based choreographers. The concert includes Kristin Bender Polizzi’s hilarious “Enclosed Encounter,” Michael Foley’s beautifully poignant “Flor,” Clarence Brooks’ “Skin Full of Stories” about tattoo culture at FAU, and Shana Perkins’ world premiere about gratitude.
