FAU Foundation Board Re-Elects Randy Justice as Chair

Ten New Members Join Board

BOCA RATON, FL (May 21, 2012) – The Florida Atlantic University Foundation Board recently held its annual meeting and election of officers. Continuing their service as members of the Foundation Board's executive committee are chair Randy Justice '73, vice chair Bruce Allen '71 and treasurer David Gury. Patricia McKay '78 was elected as the new secretary.

The board also welcomed 10 new members, noted for their civic service and professional accomplishments.

“I am pleased to welcome all of our new members to the FAU Foundation Board,” said Jennifer O’Flannery Anderson, vice president for community engagement and executive director of the FAU Foundation. “Their experience and dedication to this University will most certainly benefit the Foundation and the FAU community as a whole.”

The following new members have joined the FAU Foundation Board:

Denise Dickins ’06 , CPA, CIA, is an assistant professor of accounting at East Carolina University. She has co-authored numerous articles for publications such as Internal Auditing and CPA Journal. Dickins also serves on the board of directors and as audit committee chair for Watsco Incorporated and Steiner Leisure Limited. She received a Ph.D. in business administration from the College of Business at FAU.

John Duffy is the founder and CEO of 3Cinteractive, and previously built several successful companies including Internet Billing Company, one of the first Internet-based payment processing companies. He was named a 2011 Palm Beach Ultimate CEO by the South Florida Business Journal, and a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Florida. Duffy supports the Dan Marino Foundation, Jason Taylor Foundation and Here’s Help, and also is on the MeduTech committee at FAU.

Kathleen Grace is principal and co-founder of Excelsior Capital Advisors, LLC, where she advises affluent families, entrepreneurs and institutions on financial and estate planning. A former board member with the Financial Planning Association in South Florida, Grace has been a contributor to print and television media throughout the state. She currently serves as board member and chair of the investment committee for the Boca Raton Historical Society, advisory board member for the Broward Bank of Commerce, and supports several charitable organizations.

Brett Greenberg is the executive vice president at Galaxy Aviation and president of Aura Jets, LLC. He serves on the President’s Council of National Air Transportation Association, and as secretary and treasurer of the Florida Aviation Trades Association. Greenberg also sits on the board of the Martin F. & Jane F. Greenberg Foundation, Inc., and was responsible for securing a $1 million gift from the foundation to FAU Stadium.

Dale Gregory is the executive vice president of Cherrystone Management Consultants, Inc. and has more than 30 years of leadership experience in the telecommunications and technology sectors. He is a member of the advisory board for FAU’s College of Engineering and Computer Science, a member of the board of directors at Internet Coast, and a member at Gold Coast Venture Capital Association and Turnaround Management Association. Gregory also has served as an adjunct professor at FAU’s College of Business and Lynn University.

Bonnie Kaye is founder, president and chief strategist of Kaye Communications, Inc., a Boca Raton-based, full-service strategic integrated marketing and public relations firm. She and her husband, Jon, co-chaired the inaugural “White Coats 4 Care” reception and fundraiser for FAU’s Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine. Kaye also serves on the board of directors for the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce.

Stewart Martin ’89 is senior vice president of Seitlin, Inc., where he manages the property and casualty programs for the company’s largest public and privately held clients. He is a veteran of the United States Army and served in Infantry, European Command, from 1983 to 1985. Martin is on the board of directors of the Broward Alliance, a member of the Tocqueville Society at the United Way of Broward County, and supports the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County.

Robert Rollins is a principal and president of The Beacon Group, Inc., a full-service commercial insurance agency. He holds the elected position of commissioner with The Greater Boca Raton Beach and Parks District, and is involved with youth organizations such as Boca Hoops and Soccer Association of Boca Raton. Rollins is a member of the FAU National Alumni Association and the Owl Club Board, and is a recipient of the FAU President’s Talon Award.

Jay M. Weinberg is chairman emeritus of Hirschler Fleischer law firm. He has been selected as one of Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s “Leaders in the Law” and was honored for his leadership in the development of the Nuremburg courtroom reconstructed at the Virginia Holocaust Museum. Weinberg is a former president of the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond, Congregation Beth Ahabah and the Jewish Community Center, and was involved in the establishment of the Virginia Biotech Research Park and Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Engineering.

Marilyn Weinberg is an active member of the Friends of the Center for Holocaust and Human Rights Education (CHHRE) at FAU, a group of individuals dedicated to raising funds to ensure the continued operation of the center. She has chaired the annual fundraising event for the past three years, which raised more than $240,000 for CHHRE in 2012. Marilyn and her late first husband named The Marilyn and Marvin Simon Jewish Community Center in Virginia Beach.
