“This is a significant achievement and great honor for our college and the Health Administration Programs because it demonstrates the problem-solving abilities and presentation skills of our students,” said Dennis Palkon, Ph.D., professor and director of FAU’s health administration program.

FAU’s graduate student team took first place in their category and was award $1,000 to the University and a plaque for their achievement for the case “Improving Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) Scores at Delray Medical Center.”  Barry University and Florida International University placed second and third, respectively. FAU’s undergraduate team also emerged as winners with a $750 second place award for their case, “Lift Teams: Reduction in Workers; Compensation Costs and Claims.”
