FAU Experts on Elections and Politics

BOCA RATON, FL (January 9, 2012) – As the Republican primary election campaign commences, Florida Atlantic University faculty are available to discuss various areas of political science.
American Politics:

  • Kevin Wagner is an assistant professor in the department of political science in the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters at FAU.  He is an attorney with a doctorate in American politics with an emphasis on U.S. institutions such as the presidency.  Wagner has expertise in the field of political behavior, including public opinion, campaigning and elections and is one of the leading authorities on the effects of technology on politics and campaigning.  Wagner can be reached at 561-297-3218 (office), 561-252-1794 (cell) or .
  • Kevin Lanning is a professor of psychology at FAU’s Wilkes Honors College. He has published more than 30 books, chapters and papers in psychology, politics and measurement.  Lanning’s current research focuses on the psychological foundations of political liberalism and conservatism.  He can be reached at 561-799-8652 (office) or .

  • Robert Rabil (Middle East) is an associate professor and director of graduate studies in the department of political science in the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters at FAU.
