FAU to Host 2010 State of the University Address
BOCA RATON, FL (August 30, 2010) – Florida Atlantic University President Mary Jane Saunders will deliver the State of the University address, themed “FAU 2010: Engaging Students, Preserving the Vision, Pursuing New Goals,” on Wednesday, September 1, beginning at 10 a.m. in the Lifelong Learning Center Auditorium, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus.
This year’s address is an important one for FAU, as it marks Saunders’ first address since becoming the University’s sixth president. Saunders will review highlights of this past academic year, as well as share her thoughts and vision about the bright future that lies ahead for FAU. Board of Trustees Chair Nancy Blosser also will speak.
Press seating will be available. In addition, there will be an opportunity for media interviews with the president immediately following the address.
