‘The Bridging Principle’ Exhibition at Armory Art Center
BOCA RATON, FL (May 15, 2009) – An opening reception for “The Bridging Principle” exhibition will be held on Friday, May 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Armory Art Center, 1700 Parker Ave., in West Palm Beach. The exhibition features the works of graduate students in fine arts from Florida Atlantic University’s department of visual arts and art history, School of the Arts in the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts & Letters. The exhibition will be on display through Friday, June 5.
“The Bridging Principle” will showcase diverse works of art from painting, ceramics, installation, mixed media and time-based media that address the link between art and science, specifically focusing on how science influences or has an effect on works of art.
The artists featured in the show include Jillian Taylor, Jessica Weber, Kim Spivey, Adrienne Gionta, Joshua Davis, Sofia Matsi, Christina Major, Mark MacDonald and Jude Gehrman.
