FAU Hosts Networking Event with Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce

BOCA RATON, FL (May 15, 2008) – Florida Atlantic University’s Barry Kaye College of Business recently hosted an evening of networking with trustee members of the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, as well as nominees and past recipients of the South Florida “Good to Great” Awards. More than 150 business leaders from the tri-county area attended the event that took place in FAU’s Sean Stein Pavilion, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus.

The finalists in the Good to Great Award Program were announced in each of the four company size categories: Investor Solutions, McKinley Financial Services, and NEO (0-50 employees); Avisena, Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra LLP (51-249 employees); Bertram Yacht and KIRA (250 – 999 employees); Burger King, CareersUSA, and Florida Power & Light (1000+ employees). The winners will be announced on May 30 at a luncheon at the Doral Country Club in Doral.

The first 11 corporate sponsors of the “Kaye 20” Corporate Partner in Excellence Program also were inducted. The inaugural 11 corporations include AFLAC, BankAtlantic, City Furniture, DaszkalBolton, Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce, MAPEI, Maroone-AutoNation, NCCI Holdings, Office Depot, Suffolk Construction, and Transamerica. Each member corporation will be honored by having a banner depicting the company’s logo displayed in the Sean Stein Pavilion.  

The Sean Stein Pavilion serves as the major traffic and communications hub of the Barry Kaye College of Business on FAU’s Boca Raton campus.   The pavilion also is home to the Office Depot Grand Lecture Hall. The Partner in Excellence Program affords corporate sponsors tremendous exposure in the Barry Kaye College of Business, the FAU community, and the broader business world.
