 'Judaica Music Memories' Features Nostalgic Photographs and Songs at FAU Libraries

WHAT:    “Judaica Music Memories,” a presentation by Dr. Maxine Schackman, assistant director of the Judaica Sound Archives ® (JSA) at Florida Atlantic University Libraries, features music and comedy of popular Jewish performers, nostalgic photographs and original recordings from the JSA’s extensive collection.

The Judaica Sound Archives® (JSA) at FAU Libraries on the Boca Raton campus has been collecting recorded music and voices of the early 20th century since 2002. Dr. Maxine Schackman, assistant director of the JSA, takes you down memory lane as she presents “Judaica Music Memories” on Friday, April 4, at 11 a.m., at the S.E. Wimberly Library. Enjoy the music and comedy of popular Jewish performers from Second Avenue, Broadway and the Borscht Belt in this program featuring nostalgic photographs and original recordings from the JSA’s extensive audio collection.
