FAU Jupiter to Host Health & Wellness Fair

            JUPITER, FL (February 5, 2008) – Florida Atlantic University ’s Jupiter campus will host its fifth annual Health & Wellness Fair on Tuesday, February 19 from 4-7 p.m.   More than two dozen nonprofit organizations and businesses will present displays and educational materials promoting a healthy lifestyle.   The event will take place in the Student Resources (SR) Atrium, located at 5353 Parkside Drive, Jupiter.

             Free services will include blood pressure and blood sugar checks, HIV screening and consultation with a nutritionist.   Participants can receive tobacco prevention information, and learn how to camp and backpack.   The Bloodmobile will be available for blood donations.  

              “We want to provide information on healthy lifestyle behaviors to our students and the community,” said Dr. Phil Cromer, director of the Jupiter campus Counseling Center.
