FAU Libraries Website/EZproxy Downtime

Notice: Due to planned University maintenance necessitating an electrical power outage, the Boca Raton Campus Library will be closed on Sunday, 3/3.

In preparation for this power outage, the FAU Libraries Web/EZproxy server will be shutdown on Saturday, 3/2 starting at 6pm.

The FAU Libraries Web/EZproxy server will be powered on sometime after 2pm on Sunday, 3/3 once the IT department receives word that power to the library has been restored.

The FAU Libraries home page will still be accessible during this time frame. As EZproxy (Off Campus Connect) will be down, access to the FAU Libraries databases and e-journals will be limited to on campus use, but not directly through the journals A-Z list, SearchWiSE, Find it @ FAU, or the Indexes/Databases A-Z list.

To access online resources on campus when EZproxy is offline, you must first remove the EZproxy portion of the URL (http://ezproxy.fau.edu/login?url=).

• Databases. Copy the link of the database page from our Indexes/Databases A-Z list. Remove the EZproxy prefix and paste the database link into a browser.
  Example:ABC-CLIO eBook Collection
  URL: http://ezproxy.fau.edu/login?url=http://www.ebooks.abc-clio.com/
  Paste URL: http://www.ebooks.abc-clio.com/

• Ebooks. If you know the ebook title, you can search for the title in the catalog and use that link. You may need to remove the EZproxy prefix.

• Journals. If you know which database the journal is in (check the Electronic Journals list), you can search for the article or journal in the database, see "Databases" above. You can also search for the title in the catalog. A direct link may not always be available.

• SearchWiSE. You can still search in SearchWiSE, but you will have to access the articles directly through the databases. See "Databases" above.

• RefWorks. You can still access RefWorks on or off campus by using the Group Code: RWFlorAtlanticU at http://www.refworks.com.
