Saturday, August 24, 2013 –Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College of Florida Atlantic University students enjoyed sailing, paddle boarding and kayaking at the US Sailing Center of Martin County as part of the college’s student orientation week. Orientation week at the Honors College prepares new students for a successful start to their academic career at the Honors College. It’s a time for students to get to know each other and the community. A trip to the US Sailing Center of Martin County was one of the many activities Honors College students participated in throughout the week before classes began on Monday, August 26 at the Jupiter Campus. Honors College orientation is their opportunity to develop lasting relationships, acclimate to the HC campus and embark on experiences that become lifelong memories.
