The Ocean Discovery Visitor's Center will be closed from July 1 through September 30, 2016 for renovations. The facility will reopen to the public on October 1, 2016.
Additionally, Mission Ocean Discovery public outreach programming conducted through the Ocean Discovery Visitor’s Center, including Immersion Tours, the Brown Bag Lunch Series and Children’s Camps, will be on hiatus over the summer months and will reconvene in the fall.

Dr. Ian D. Walsh, Ph.D., Director of Science & Senior Oceanographer, Sea-Bird Scientific and WET Labs, Inc.
Dr. Walsh will provide a perspective on the recent algae crisis based on the data broadcast from the St. Lucie Estuary (SLE) by FAU Harbor Branch's Indian River Lagoon Observatory Network of Environmental Sensors (IRLON). The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session with Dr. Walsh and FAU Harbor Branch scientists.
