FLORIDA ASSOCIATION OF CODE ENFORCEMENT CERTIFICATION:
OFFICER SAFETY AND FIELD APPLICATIONS

Dates: September 19, 20, 21, 22

Time: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Fee Structure:
Active F.A.C.E. members: $13.00/hour Non-members: $17.00/hour
Week of classes is $390.00 for members, $510.00 for non-members.

Location:
Miramar Fire Rescue which is located at 14801 S.W. 27th Street with the exception of the September 19 Defensive Tactics workshop which will be held at the Miramar Police substation located at 2811 SW 186th Avenue.

Classes:
In conjunction with the Florida Association of Code Enforcement, Inc. (F.A.C.E.) and the John Scott Dailey Florida Institute of Government at the University of Central Florida, the John Scott Dailey Florida Institute of Government at FAU is pleased to offer the 40 hours of classes required for the Fundamentals of Code Enforcement Certification:

Registration Information:
The deadline for registering is September 2, 2016. Due to the strong interest in the certification program and limitations on class size, registrations will be confirmed only if they are accompanied by payment or a purchase order. Please contact our office at 561/297-3749 if you wish to pay with a credit card. Refunds must be requested in writing and received no later than seven days prior to the first day of the classes. Fees will be refunded less a $75.00 administrative fee. All monies are forfeited beyond this date. Non-attendance does not constitute a withdrawal or refund request. We reserve the right to cancel the classes; in that case, the registration fees will be refunded in full.

A $65.00 fee applies to all rescheduled classes.

FAU campus in Davie - 3200 College Avenue.

Classes:
In conjunction with the Florida Association of Code Enforcement, Inc. This customer-centered workshop is recommended for any state or local government whose employees interact with customers on a regular basis. It specifically addresses attitudes and actions for improving the quality of customer relationships with both internal and external customers. It is an extremely interactive workshop, presented in a manner that makes the session an enjoyable and valuable learning experience. Workshop topics include:

  • Healthy Attitudes vs Deadly Attitudes
  • The Impact of Words- Words to Use vs Words to Lose
  • The Power of a Smile and The Value of ‘Thank You’
  • How Customers Evaluate Service Performance
  • Why People Stop Coming Back
  • Telephone and Email Effectiveness

This class has been approved for 4 hours of F.A.C.E. recertification credits
