College of Business Alumnus Wins Florida Venture Forum
Jan Bednar, founder and CEO of BedaBox, recently won the Statewide Collegiate Business Plan Competition at the Florida Venture Forum's annual Early Stage Conference. Bednar is also the winner of the FAU Business Plan Competition's FAU student track.
BedaBox, addresses the shipping disconnect for international consumers making online purchases from United States based merchants. Most U.S. based retailers do not ship internationally and do not accept foreign currencies. Through BedaBox, international customers receive a physical U.S. postal address and can pay with multiple forms of currencies including credit card, PayPal and BitCoin. This solution for consumers also benefits merchants as BedaBox's software seamlessly integrates with existing e-commerce platforms.
