MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS

The Recreation and Fitness Center offers two lengths of memberships for it's patrons. If a patron wishes to purchase a membership, they have the options of a monthly membership or an annual membership. Annual memberships are date to date from the of registration. Monthly memberships have at least a three month commitment associated with them. We require you to have the membership for at least three billing cycles before you cancel to avoid the cancellation fee.

FAU Student Membership

Campus Recreation facilities, services and programs are available to all FAU students during the semester for which they are registered. Facility access is granted beginning the first day of classes and continuing until the day before classes begin the following semester. Students qualify for this access by paying the required activity and service fees as part of their tuition. Graduating student's access will stop as the last day of the semester.

Stop-Out Student

FAU students taking a single semester off from their studies are welcome to purchase a Campus Recreation Membership. Stop-out Students may purchase a Recreation Membership for no more than one semester after the most recent semester of enrollment. You must be registered for classes the semester following the semester you are taking off. (Example: took classes in the spring, not taking classes in the summer, but registered for classes in the fall). Alumni are  not  eligible for this membership.

FAU Faculty/Staff and Retiree

Faculty, AMP, SP, and Temporary staff are welcome to purchase a Recreation Membership. FAU employment status or history will be verified.

FAU Alumni  

FAU Alumni are welcome to purchase a Recreation Membership. Alumni must provide proof of status (diploma or transcript) and be a current member of the FAU National Alumni Association (FAUNAA) at time of purchase.  Visit the FAUNAA website for more information. Community Members  

FAU National Alumni Association (FAUNAA) members who are non-graduates are welcome to purchase a Recreation Membership. Individuals are required to be 18+ years of age and be an current member of the FAU National Alumni Association (FAUNAA) at time of purchase. Visit the FAUNAA  website  for more information. Parking not included in membership rate.

Red Membership (Limited Access)  

The Red membership is a limited access membership available to all categories. With the Red membership, individuals are allowed in the facility Monday-Thursday: 6 a.m. - 3 p.m., and all day Friday-Sunday. Participation in Intramural Sports is prohibited with the Red Membership. Individuals are required to be 18+ years of age. Alumni and FAUNAA Members must also join the FAUNAA.Visit the FAUNAA   website  for more information. Parking not included in membership rate.

Household Adults

Adults (18+ years of age) living in the same household as members from groups above are eligible to purchase a Recreation Membership.  The qualified household adult must present proof of residency with member at time of purchase.

The household adult does NOT have to become a member of the FAUNAA. Parking not included in membership rate.

Forms of Payment

You are able to fulfill your payments through one of the following methods: MasterCard, VISA, American Express or Discover.

We no longer are accepting Checks as a form of payment. The Recreation and Fitness C enter is also a cash free facility.

*Faculty/Staff who wish to purchase the annual membership are able to pay for that via payroll deduction. Deductions will come out of the first paycheck of every month for 12 deductions (12 month contract employees), 10 deductions (10 month contract employees) or 8 deductions (9 month contract employees).

Tax will be assessed to all membership prices at the time of purchase.
