Great GiveThe Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters is delighted to be participating in the  Great Give, May 6, 2014.  This 24-hour online and telephone giving event is designed to raise as much money as possible for local nonprofits as part of a nation-wide program called "Give Local America."  This community-wide event will celebrate the spirit of giving and the collective effort it takes to strengthen our community while raising critical funds for our College.

Your donation on this exciting day will go a long way in helping us; gifts made through the Great Give will receive a portion of bonus funds from national and local pools - making your dollar go even further than it would on any other day.  The online giving and phone lines will be open for 24 hours only, from Midnight - 11:59 p.m. on May 6.

To join in this campaign, please visit  http://www.greatgivepbc.org/#npo/florida-atlantic-university-foundation-inc, and designate “Arts & Letters Student Scholarships,” or other area of your choice, in the Comments field.

You can also call  1-844-GIVE-DAY,  or  1-844-448-3329   and be sure to mention “FAU/Arts & Letters Student Scholarships   or other preference.  We hope you will consider supporting us on May 6!

Giving & Development

At the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters, we help our students acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for success in the real world. This means grounding them in important ideas and diverse perspectives. We offer an interdisciplinary approach to learning that reflects the global economy our students will enter after graduation with the objective of preparing thoughtful, creative, multi-disciplined citizens for today's workforce.

Whether an engineering, business, or biomedical sciences major, all FAU students take classes from the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters, making it one of the largest colleges with an enrollment of more than 4,300 students.

Contributions allow us to continue to realize new and stimulating initiatives that reinforce the scholarly and artistic excellence of our faculty and students. Private gifts afford donors the opportunity to invest in distinguished faculty and talented students by funding important programs, scholarships, professorships, research, and new facilities.

Philanthropic generosity allows the College to create dreams and visions that bring new levels of excellence that would not otherwise be available without dedicated donors who understand the value of an educational program grounded in the arts, humanities and social sciences.

We invite you to become part of our future and part of our legacy, by making a gift. Together we can continue to change lives and shape the future. Please ask us about scholarships, endowed gifts, program and event sponsorship, and naming opportunities.
