FAU Day of Service 7:30 am Seven Community Sites. Choose one to serve. Kick off Homecoming Week by showing your FAU pride in the community! Join Students Advocating Volunteer Involvement (SAVI) and the Weppner Center for Civic Engagement and Service (WCCES) in observing FAU Day of Service on Saturday, October 26 th . Students, faculty and staff can volunteer with us at any one of seven service project sites that day. Transportation provided, space is limited. Sign-up today! Service projects:

ExtravaCANza: Canned Food Sculpture Contest 10:00 am SO Building, Boca Raton Campus Come watch student organizations go head to head in this unique Homecoming competition sponsored by the Weppner Center for Civic Engagement & Service and SAVI (Students Advocating Volunteer Involvement)! Teams race against the clock competing to build the best sculpture out of canned food items. All non-perishable items used in the sculpture building are then donated to Boca Helping Hands.
Davie Homecoming Spirit Day 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm Davie Plaza, Davie Campus Join in on the Homecoming spirit at the Davie campus with Homecoming giveaways!
Timucua Pageant 8:00 pm Live Oak Pavilion, Boca Raton Campus The Timucua Pageant is one of FAU's longest running annual traditions sponsored by Housing and Residential Life. Don't miss our 14th Annual event to see who earns the coveted title of Mr and Ms Timucua 2013. Contestants will compete in several categories including formal wear, talent, school spirit, interview, and other themed events. The winning contestants will also get VIP seats to the Homecoming Comedy Show; ride in the Timucua spirit car in the Homecoming Parade; receive a Housing Scholarship; and be featured in future Housing publications/brochures. Thursday, October 31, 2013 Talon Awards Ceremony 6:30 pm Marleen & Harold Forkas Alumni Center, Boca Raton Campus FAU celebrates its 17th Annual Talon Awards Ceremony during Homecoming 2013. Since 1997, the Talon Award Ceremony has recognized outstanding leaders from the community, alumni, faculty and student body. Co-sponsored by the Office of Alumni Affairs and Student Government, this year's ceremony will recognize four outstanding individuals, including an FAU student!
Homecoming Comedy Show 8:00 pm Kaye Auditorium, Boca Raton Campus Enjoy a night of comedy celebrating Homecoming Week at the Kaye Auditorium in the Student Union. This show is sponsored by Student Government Program Board and is FREE to FAU students, but has limited capacity, so be sure to get your tickets early. Tickets are available to FAU students in the Box Office located in the Student Union on the Boca Raton campus. Tickets are also available on the partner campuses in their Student Involvement & Leadership offices. Tickets will be available beginning October 1, 2013.
Friday, November 1, 2013 Homecoming Parade & Fall Family Fest 5:00 pm Boca Raton Campus 2013 celebrates the 7 th Annual FAU Homecoming Parade. Every year, this parade gets bigger and better! We anticipate over 60 entries in this year’s parade including student organization floats, decorated golf carts, specialty cars and motorcycles, walking units, as well as several marching bands. This is truly a community event on FAU’s Boca Raton campus and we are excited to host FAU students, alumni, faculty, staff and the Boca Raton community, as well as their families, at this traditional parade. Join us after the Homecoming Parade on the Housing Lawn for more Homecoming festivities hosted by President Saunders! Enjoy carnival games, bounce houses, face painting, balloon art, photo booth novelties, sand art, caricature artists, jugglers, circus performers, along with lots more entertainment. Enjoy the delicious cookout sponsored by Business Services and Chartwells.
Homecoming Shabbat Celebration 8:00 pm FAU Stadium - Premier Level, Boca Raton Campus For the first time all FAU Alumni, students and parents are invited to the FAU Owls' home to celebrate Shabbat with a festive meal and song. Everyone is welcome to partake this new and ancient tradition.
