Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)
HIV is a virus that attacks the immune system and can lead to AIDS. HIV can be transmitted by blood, semen, vaginal secretions, and breast milk, so if you are sexually active it is important to be tested every six months and/or in between partners. Owls Care Health Promotion also encourages students to communicate open and honestly with their partners.
