Nori Carter – Director, Weppner Center for Civic Engagement & Service
Nori Carter serves as the Director for the Weppner Center for Civic Engagement & Service at Florida Atlantic University. Ms. Carter received her Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications—Advertising from Middle Tennessee State University and a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from Florida Atlantic University. Over the course of Ms. Carter’s career, she has worked for numerous corporations with the last four years in Higher Education as an adjunct instructor, as a staff member of FAU’s Broward Student Wellness Center, and in her current position. Volunteering has always been a part of her life making her job rewarding! Jheanelle Shepherd – Coordinator, Weppner Center for Civic Engagement and Service Jheanelle Shepherd is the Coordinator of the Weppner Center for Civic Engagement and Service at Florida Atlantic University. She began working at FAU in 2008 as a student assistant in the Student Union. She received a Bachelor’s degree in English and a Master's degree in Higher Education Leadership from FAU . After completing her Bachelors degree, she dedicated a year of service to FAU as an AmeriCorps VISTA member in the Weppner Center for Civic Engagement and Service. Jheanelle plans to continue her studies for a doctoral degree in Higher Education Leadership. When she is not coordinating service opportunities for FAU students, she may be found volunteering on her own and spending time with her family and friends. Ashley Williams – Graduate Assistant, Weppner Center for Civic Engagement and Service fAshley Williams currently serves as a Graduate Assistant for the Weppner Center for Civic Engagement and Service at Florida Atlantic University. She began her professional development at FAU as a Graduate Assistant for Student Involvement and Leadership. She received her Bachelor's degree in Family Youth and Community Sciences with a Minor in Education from the University of Florida in 2010. Ashley is currently pursuing a Master's of Education degree in Higher Education Leadership. Upone graduation, Ashley looks forward to becoming a professional within Student Affairs. She also looks forward to pursuing her Ph.D. Ashley is passionate about empowering and liberating the leader in others. Dwayne Manuel – Graduate Assistant, Weppner Center for Civic Engagement and Service Dwayne Manuel is currently serving as the Graduate Assistant for the Weppner Center for Civic Engagement and Service. He graduated from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida, with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences with a specialization in Diversity Studies. He also earned minor degrees in Women’s Studies and Sociology. Dwayne is a graduate student at Florida Atlantic University pursuing a Master’s in Education in Higher Education Leadership. Dwayne’s ultimate goal is to work in immigration services as a Designated Student Official and an ambassador for a university on the global market. He intends on pursuing a Ph.D. in higher education and wishes to write and research international education and globalization of higher education. Kassandra "Kassi" Pedron – Student Assistant Kassandra Pedron is from Caracas, Venezuela. In the Fall 2012 semester she transferred from Barry University to FAU to continue to pursue a Bachelors degree with a major in Mathematics and a minor in Chemistry. Kassi enjoys reading, drawing, singing, dancing, and most of all playing video games. She is very outgoing, honest, and talkative.
Addernika "Addie" Walker – Student Assistant Addernika Walker is from Tallahassee, FL. She now lives in South Florida and enjoys the atmosphere of the beach and fast pace cities. She is currently a senior here at FAU pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and two minors in English and Public Management. She aspires to a career in Public Relations. In her free time she enjoys dancing, movies, music, and fashion. She is kind, funny, organized, and hard working.
Frédérique Fragé – Associate Director, Student Involvement and Leadership Ms. Frédérique Fragé is currently the Associate Director of the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership at Florida Atlantic University's (FAU) Broward Campuses. Ms. Fragé received a Bachelor's Degree in History at the University of Florida and a Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration/Student Affairs from Florida Atlantic University. Ms. Fragé has worked in the field of Student Affairs since 2006. Prior to her current position she served in the FAU Offices of Multicultural Affairs and International Students and Scholar Services as the Designated School Official (DSO).
Jupiter Campus Staff: Peggy Joseph – Coordinator, Student Affairs Peggy Joseph joined the Weppner Center teamm as the Jupiter representative in Fall 2012. She is currently the Coordinator for Student Affairs on the John D. MacArthur campus. Peggy is an FAU alumna two times over. She graduated with her Bachelors degree from FAU as well as received a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from FAU in Summer 2012. She enjoys working with students.
