Walter Hnatysh, Professor of Art in Painting and Drawing, received his BFA from Indiana University, and his M.F.A. from Tyler School of Art. His paintings evolve from different sources and processes: observation of objects, qualities of light, complex spaces, the interaction of color and paint surface, and memory. Professor Hnatysh has shown work in 20 one-person exhibits and over 100 group shows, including the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Istanbul, Turkey. His paintings and drawings are in many private and public collections, including; the Huntsville Museum of Art, AL, The Everhart Museum, PA, Tampa Museum of Art and the Boca Raton Museum of Art, FL. He has received an Individual Artist Grant from Maryland, and the South Florida Cultural Consortium.
