  LEARNING  OPPORTUNITIES

  • Multiple semester internship opportunities available and encouraged (Fall, Spring, Summer)
  • One-on-One professional academic advising experience
  • Opportunities to serve on University committees
  • Strongly encouraged to attend staff meetings (not part of the 10-15 required hours)
  • Design/implement a Special Project each semester with guidance from the Director of UAS

   

 

 
   

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION

  • 10-15 hours per week (2-3 days in office)
  • Enrolled in an applicable master’s degree program
  • Commitment to academic and student affairs
  • One (1) Letter of Recommendation
  • Demonstrates:
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong academic record
             
 

LEARNING OUTCOMES    

Interns will:

  • Apply educational theory and practice while gaining practical experience in academic and student affairs
  • Strengthen professional skills
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of policy, procedure, and responsibilities in academic and student affairs
  • Become familiar with literature in the field of academic affairs
