ALEKS is a mandatory math placement exam for incoming students. ALEKS is a powerful artificial-intelligence based mechanism to assess math proficiency and skill level. For the first attempt students may take the exam over the internet from any computer. Any subsequent attemps must be taken at FAU's Office of Testing & Evaluation at either the Boca Raton Campus or the Davie Campus. Examinees are required to be professional, civil and respectful at all time while on the premises of the Test Center. All exams are continuously monitored by video and audio recording, physical walk-through, and through the observation window. The Test Center Staff is authorized to dismiss you from the test session for a violation of any of the Test Center Regulations, including exhibiting abusive behavior towards the Test Center Staff or other examinees. There will a brief security check upon entry to the test room.

A non-expired Photo ID is required of the test taker and must be presented prior to testing. NO EXCEPTIONS. You may not test without a valid, non-expired PHOTO ID. The FAU Testing Center willingly provides special test accommodations for all candidates who qualify for non-standard test administrations. Please send all documentation to FAU Testing Center no later than two weeks prior to your test date.
