ALEKS MATH PLACEMENT
ALEKS is a mandatory math placement exam for incoming students. ALEKS is a powerful artificial-intelligence based mechanism to assess math proficiency and skill level. For the first attempt students may take the exam over the internet from any computer. Any subsequent attemps must be taken at FAU's Office of Testing & Evaluation at either the Boca Raton Campus or the Davie Campus. To take the ALEKS Math Placement for the first time, Log-in to MyFAU and click on the tab labeled Math Placement and follow the instructions to take the exam. The exam may be taken at any avaliable computer.
To retake the ALEKS follow the instructions listed below.
If you are out of the area and need to take the ALEKS math placement exam please email testandeval@fau.edu for information regarding how to schedule this exam.
If you are retaking the ALEKS Math Placement Test you must take this exam in the Office of Testing & Evaluation.
The Boca Raton testing office is located in the Student Support Services Building (Bldg 80), Room 210.
The Davie testing office is located in Liberal Arts Building, Room 243A

A non-expired Photo ID is required of the test taker and must be presented prior to testing. NO EXCEPTIONS. You may not test without a valid, non-expired PHOTO ID. Your photo ID must match exactly the name you used when registering. Listed below are the only acceptable forms of photo identification (no photocopies accepted) :
- current driver's license
- state approved ID (http://www.flhsmv.gov/)
- college ID
- current state or federal ID card

Testing is on a walk-in basis only AFTER you have paid your testing fee.

For the Boca Campus
: Testing must be completed by 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday. You must arrive
no
later than 2:15
to ensure you receive the full 2 hours of testing time.
NO EXCEPTIONS

For the Davie Campus
: Testing must be completed by 6:00pm Monday and Thursday, 4:30 pm Tuesday and Wednesday, or by 3:00 pm on Friday.

The exam is 2 hours in length.
