The Role of the Associate Vice President & Dean of Students Office in Assisting Students
The mission of the Associate Vice President and Dean of Students Office is to assist students in meeting their educational goals by offering individual advising with academic matters, leadership and student development opportunities. Students who are of concern to the campus community can be referred to the Associate Vice President & Dean of Student Office for any violation of FAU’s Student Code of Conduct.
The Associate Vice President and Dean of Students will coordinate with the SCAC/SIT committees to create a comprehensive training and awareness program that includes workshops and presentations. These workshops and presentations are for faculty, staff and the administrative community. The focus will be on how to identify and respond to situations involving at-risk students and/or situations.
