Tentative time schedule for both dates is as follows:
Registration – 8:30 AM
Session start time – 9:00 AM
Session end time – 5:00 PM

You are invited to participate in the Field Instructor’s Training Session sponsored by the Florida Atlantic University (FAU) School of Social Work. This training is required for all Field Instructors for the School of Social Work at FAU. We encourage you to attend if you have not previously attended the field instructor’s training provided by FAU. ( We also honor training offered by Barry University, Florida International University, and Florida State University). Please note that the training has been expanded to two full days (or 16 hours). The workshop is free to all field supervisors for FAU social work students.

This seminar provides the field instructors with an opportunity to meet the faculty at Florida Atlantic University as well as to learn about your role as a Field Instructor for FAU. This should also prove to be a good opportunity to network with other community social workers serving as field instructors for FAU.

For students who plan on completing their field placement in Spring 2006, it is MANDATORY that you attend one of the following sessions PRIOR to applying for field placement:
1. Jupiter Campus, Room AD102, 9-10-05; 11am to 1pm
2. Boca Campus, Room GS103, 9-16-05; 4pm - 6pm
3. Davie Campus, Room LA132, 9-27-05, 11am - 1pm
