Public Administration Theory Network Appoints FAU Faculty Member and Ph.D. Student to New Board

FAU's School of Public Administration recently strengthened its participation and presence in the Public Administration Theory Network when Professor Hugh Miller and Ph.D. student Lester Leavitt were elected as interim members of the 2012-2013 Board of Directors. Miller continues from the prior year as the interim Chairman, and newly appointed Lester Leavitt will be serving as the interim Secretary/Treasurer. Both will serve for a one year term while a comprehensive process of nominating candidates for a permanent board is conducted leading up to the 2013 PATNet Conference in San Francisco. In attendance at this year's PATNet 2012 Conference, which was held in South Padre Island, TX. from May 17-20, were faculty members Arthur Sementelli and Hugh Miller, with Miller being the keynote speaker for the opening of the conference. Ph.D. students Mariana O'Brien, Alexandru Roman, and Lester Leavitt all presented papers at the conference.
