FAU SPA voted to serve as Secretariat for ASPA with CAPAM
At the recent American Society for Public Administration's (ASPA) annual conference held this past March 2-6 in Las Vegas, NV, the board members of the National Council Committee unanimously approved the application that Daniel G. Bauer, one of our SPA Ph.D. students, submitted over a year ago to serve as ASPA's Secretariat in developing and managing their relationship with CAPAM.
The Commonwealth Association of Public Administration and Management ("CAPAM") is an organization consisting of Public Administration academics and practitioners from universities/colleges, and public sectors throughout the 54 nation states comprising the Commonwealth Association. Representing over two billion people, six continents, and thousands of educational institutions, the Commonwealth is a voluntary association of 54 countries that support each other and work together towards shared goals in democracy and development.
The Florida Atlantic University School of Public Administration selection provides a choice opportunity for both international and domestic students. The ASPA-CAPAM relationship provides additional opportunities for faculty as well as student collaboration with other universities and programs through research, symposia, grant applications, conference presentations, and future career pursuits for students at the Doctoral, Masters, and Bachelors levels.
