Course Focus
Examines the feminization of the world's labor force and its social consequences in the context of the globalization of production and consumption since the 1970s. It studies the economic, technological, and political transformations that are driving the dramatic expansion of the world's female labor force in multiple forms, and surveys the role of women in the emerging movements for social change.
