When are Student Government meetings held?
The University-wide Executive Branch holds staff meetings weekly or as needed. Please contact the Student Body President for information.
The University-wide Student Senate meets as needed, typically on Friday afternoons about once per month, more frequently during the budget process. They also rotate their meetings on all four primary FAU campuses. Please contact the Student Body Vice President for information.
The Boca Raton Governor's Advisory Council meets every other Friday. Please contact the Boca Raton Campus Governor for information.
The Boca Raton House meets every Friday at 3:30 pm in the Senate Chambers, Boca Raton Campus. Please contact the Boca Raton Campus Speaker of the House for information.
The Broward Governor's Advisory Council meets every other week on Wednesdays. Please contact the Broward Campuses Governor for information.
The Broward House meets every Wednesday at 11 am in the House Chambers, Boca Raton Campus. Please contact the Broward Campuses Speaker of the House for information.

Who is MY Student Government representative?
Who your student government representative is depends upon your campus. Please visit your Campus-based SG Branch page for a list of your House Representatives and their contact information.
You are also served by two Senators on your campus. Please visit the University-wide SG Legislative Branch page for a list of your Senators and their contact information.
The Student Body President, Vice President, their staff, and the Campus Governors also represent you. Please contact any one of these student leaders for assistance, support, information, or to share a concern or idea.
Does Student Government still give out free Scantrons?
Yes! All student government offices on all four campuses provide blue and green Scantron forms for exams. One per student at a time please so that we can maintain our stock through final exam week. We also provide these forms your you at the Dean of Students Office on the Boca Raton Campus.
Does Student Government offer any scholarships to the Student Body?
Yes! A one time Student Government Leadership Scholarship is offered to two incoming first year students and two incoming junior year students each fall semester. Scholarships are $500 per student. Students must demonstrate leadership potential and community involvement to qualify. How can I get involved in Student Government?
There are several ways to get involved in SG:
- Enter a general election (the legislative election is held each fall, and the executive election is held each spring)
- Contact your campus Speaker of the House to submit an In-House application to be a House Representative between general elections
- Contact the Student Body Vice President to apply for any available seats on the University-wide Senate between general elections
- Join a student government program on your campus such as COSO, SAVI, or Program Board
- Apply for an executive staff position such as chief of staff, executive aide, treasurer, marketing director, other position as they become available
Direct student government experience is not always necessary, so if you think you would like to be apart of Student Government, give us a call!
