Housing staff will talk to drivers about the dangers of texting and driving. If students have on their seatbelts and show no signs of texting and driving, they will be rewarded with a prize. All students will be educated on the dangers of distractions while driving. Students will also be asked to sign a pledge that they will not text and drive in the future. This is an interactive program in which "strangers" attempt to gain entry into our Jupiter residence halls. This program is designed to educate students about the dangers of leaving room/apartment doors unlocked or letting strangers into your home. Thursday, September 25
First Aid, CPR, and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) training is provided by EH&S. This course certifies a person in First Aid, CPR and AED and takes approximately six hours to complete. This training requires hands-on student participation. Note: There is a charge of $26.85 per student to cover the cost of course materials, and there is a limit of 12 students per course. FAU Alert System Test
All aspects of the FAU Alert System will be tested. The outdoor warning sirens will be activated on the Boca Raton, Jupiter, and Harbor Branch campuses. During this test, a loud siren sound (click here to play the sound) and a spoken message will be heard across those campuses, as well as in neighborhoods and business areas located near those campuses.
