SACS Reaffirmation Timeline

FAU is one of 79 colleges and universities that will undergo reaffirmation of accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools’ Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) in 2013. Unlike our last self-study, the process now includes two components: A Compliance Certification Report that demonstrates compliance with the Core Requirements, Comprehensive Standards and Federal Requirements, and is reviewed by an off-site team; and the development of a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP). The QEP describes a course of action that the university will follow for the next five years to improve student learning outcomes or enhance the learning environment, and is reviewed by an on-site team. The following timeline outlines the major milestones in the accreditation process:

* Bolded items are SACSCOC requirements
