Camille Coley, JD

Assistant Vice President for Research

Camille Coley serves as Assistant Vice President for Research in the Division of Research at Florida Atlantic University. In this role, Ms. Coley oversees all of the University's research federal appropriations and the operation of various research programs. In addition to her role as Assistant Vice President, she is the Associate Director of FAU's Center for Ocean Energy Technology in the College of Engineering and Computer Science where she manages the permitting and licensing activities for the center. She has been with the Division of Research since 2002, serving in various capacities including Interim Director of Sponsored Programs and Director of Administrative Services. She has been actively engaged in the University community as a member of the strategic planning committee and a co-chair of a University task force on meeting community needs and unique institutional responsibilities. Ms. Coley is also the Division of Research representative to the FAU Safety Committee and the Diving and Boating Safety Committee. Prior to joining Florida Atlantic University, Ms. Coley served as Project Manager/Marine Research Associate at the University of Rhode Island's Coastal Resources Center. She received her JD from the University of Maryland - School of Law and her bachelor's degree in mass communication from Towson State University.
